untitled consists of two Glasgow-based art creators who work primarily in the mediums of video, painting and publication.
Jieyu Deng, born in 2000 in Foshan, Guangdong Province, is a photographer and graphic designer. Inspired by Japanese photographers of the 1970s, his work specialises in the use of film and darkroom techniques, interweaving observational documentary with constructed imagery, and using symbols and metaphors to visually reproduce and reflect on personal memory. He self-published his first book of photographs, The taste of salt, in 2023.
Manze Guo, graduated from Glasgow School of Art, specialises in the use of poetry, writing, painting, video and other media.
