SHU SHU SHU SHU was founded in Beijing in 2018. It is a small independent publishing studio. We are concerned about society, education and art, and use ‘books’ as the medium to create and practice. SHU SHU is currently working on two projects, POD ZINE and the Childish series, where the creators are all focusing on the youth demographic, mostly children and teenagers between the ages of 5-17 years old, who participate as observers and creators, and in doing so provide a new perspective and discussion for viewers and readers. In 2024, SHU SHU will start a new project called ‘Kayak’, which focuses on and explores the Chinese diaspora of our era through artists’ books.
